New cancer detection techniques via microscope

Oxford Nanoimaging, a UK-based super-resolution imaging company, has showcased a groundbreaking new desktop microscope which allows scientists to see individual molecules in living cells. Their super-resolution microscope can measure molecules as close as 20 nanometers apart; by comparison, a sheet of paper is around 100,000 nm in thickness.

ONI hopes to use this imaging technique for applications such as cancer diagnosis to determine the necessity of surgery on individual tumors. Watch the video below to find out more:
