Laser Quantum’s show stopping CW and ultrafast lasers at Photonics West!

Photonics West 2018 was a great success for Laser Quantum, exhibiting in a new larger booth, meeting new customers and demonstrating a large selection of Continuous Wave and Ultrafast lasers. However, the new, compact axiom laser took centre stage, attracting lots of interest from attendees.

The compact axiom laser is up to 6 W 660 nm or up to 12 W 532 nm laser with the pump diode located in the laser head and features an extremely compact power supply /control unit. Boasting exceptional power stability of (<0.05%) and low noise (<0.02%), the axiom is designed with adaptability and ease of use in mind. The laser only has a detachable electrical cable between the PSU and head, simplifying integration into a Ti: Sapphire oscillator or other apparatus.

Laser Quantum also enjoyed exhibiting alongside its sister companies, Cambridge Technology and Synrad, who are all part the Novanta group. Novanta is a trusted technology partner to OEMs in the medical and advanced industrial technology markets, with deep proprietary expertise in photonics, vision and precision motion technologies. All three companies found it was a great opportunity to meet new customers and find out about new applications that our lasers can be a part of. Laser Quantum’s lasers are used in a broad range of applications from two photon microscopy, Raman spectroscopy to High Harmonic Generation and astronomical spectrograph calibration.
