finesse breaks laser Guinness World Record
Our own Laser Quantum finesse 6W laser was the star of ‘It’s not rocket science’ on ITV, broadcasted Tuesday 8th March 2016. The finesse was used to break the Guinness Book of Records world record for the most balloons popped by a continuous wave laser with a visible wavelength. The wavelength of the finesse 6W is 532nm. The finesse laser popped 200 balloons across a 40m distance in front of a live audience and in a consecutive fashion.
With Manchester being the 2016 European city of science, Laser Quantum is contributing to the world-class science research and technologies coming out of the city and world record breaking lasers is another string to its bow.
